I was at the local drag strip and got rear ended. I need your help.
I got rear ended waiting in line to race. I got the whole its private property speech and it seems like im gonna get screwed. A accident was reported was taken by the speedway and I have the name of the guy that hit me but his insurance info was fake, and his didnt have a license plate (he had temporary tags) which were also fake. I have a few pics of the accident and pics of his car. What can I do legally and on the internet to bash this guy?

sorry to hear what a moron that guy was to hit another car waiting in line at the track. I'd go back and see if you can't track him down on another night.

Go hang out in front of Adrenaline Motorsport until the guy shows up??? Looks like they are tight with the store since he has their sticker plastered, and one guy has a jacket.
Try finding the guy's car on other forums.

You can possibly track him down with the partial VIN with the info of the POS
I think he might have had a "Yo! VTEC just kicked in~" moment.......

Yeah... I saw these in the photo album on myspace... Adrian, a.k.a Caveman...
Not sure if it's the same car. Look at the corner lamps. Looks a little different, but the fuzzy picture of the guy looks like this guy.

Different bumper for sure. He had non-painted door handles and in the last pic, they are painted...

If you have the cars VIN then you can track down by that.
But the best thing that you can do is contact your insurance company and have them do the leg work for you. Give them all the details and info/pics as well as all the info for the drag strip. At the very least your insurance company will go after the Drag Strips property insurance for coverage (seeing that I'm sure the Drag strip will have property insurance) The Drag Strip may claim that they are not responsible but infact this is what their insurance is for especially since you were on their private property when this accident happened. (Kind of like homeowners insurance covering your ass if someone accidentally falls and hurts themself at your house and they sue you) But your insurance carrier is going to be better equipped to go after them and that way any attorney costs will be incurred by them and not you. And for those who say that since you were tracking or racing your car and that voids your insurance policy, not true unless it happened on the actual strip and from what you have said it can be inferred that this happened while your car was parked at the time thus not voiding your policy. If it were me, I would go back and see if they appear again at another event as it is likely that they will show up in the future. If you do find him there then instead of confronting get the local PD out there to get his real info for you. Also I would hit up the local tuner shops that the guy was sporting on his car and show the pics around. Someone may know something and just tell them that he is giving their shop a bad name by crap like this at the track and online. Then they may be more likely to give good info. |

Right when they said "private property" I would have beat the shit out of that ricer with my steeringwheel. ...
Did you by anychance get the VIN number? That car have been stolen too, hence why he didn't have legit plates, and a drivers license matter of fact. Gl dude, I suggest just getting an attorney if you dont want to do all the dirty work, the insurance company wont do shit for you, if you leave it to them, it'll take quite a while, either that or they will make you pay out of your pocket first and then they will say "we will reimburse you when the claim is closed"... Where as the attorney route might take 6 months plus or minus 2... |

Sorry to see this. I would not recommend going through your insurance company. First, it was private property and secondly, it is a race track, I am pretty sure there will be exemptions to coverage on a timed event. More importantly they will see you are "racing" and when your policy comes up for renewal you will get hosed.
With any track event, it is a person's word that matters most. I have had my race car rolled by a friend. He paid up. Unfortunately you are dealing with a person with fake insurance and fake dealer tags so this person's character is below smegma and he couldn't handle all 150 hp when VTEC kicked in yo. I would try the police on the grounds of providing false information / fraud. Argue you had a verbal contract with this person. Get the police on your side....make that punk's life miserable. Pursue the alternative path of public humilation. Although he doesn't seem the internet type. Good Luck
