Anyone here did some Boxing Day shopping?
Well, this question is address to all of the Canadians.
I got some pretty decent deals... 8 gig Lexar SDHC memory card for 17.99 and a Kingston 8 gig USB drive for 12.99. I also got 2 Sandisk Ultra II 8 gig for 19.99 each. I didn't shop for any clothes or any other stuff. The Malls were really crowded even though there was a huge snow storm. There snow outside is about 5 feet high and Hummers and Toyota Land Cruisers are getting stuck! |

seriously, i don't know why there is a boxing day, all i know is that stores have a sale and its always crowded, no place to park and a chance to get your car hit and dinged. People go out on boxing day even if there is a snowstorm.....WOW!!
I just stay home

boxing day dates back to medieval times when canada was still under british rule. the idea began by a clay box used in artisan workshops. customers, apprentices and their masters would put gratuities in them and the box would be smashed on 'boxing day' and shared amonst the workers. lesson learned
