Range Rover's

I currently have a 05 Range, but Im looking to get a new SUV soon since my range's getting near 50k mileage. Anyone have any idea on Range Rover deals?? im actually looking for sport since for some reason i Think they look sexier than the regular range rover hse's. I heard you can get up to liek 20K off msrp for 08 models now, around nyc area. Anyone have any idea??

My mom has a RRS. Leased for 730 a month or something like that but that was with a 2005 lr3 trade in with about 40k miles. Otherwise I think the lease would have been in the high 8's.

I would be surprised if the lease price is not higher than $8xx because Range's seem to have pretty poor resale.

Well she did take a 24 month lease I believe and the residual wasn't too bad after 2 years but drops dramatically in the 3rd.

Yeah, seriously. I'm thinking about picking one up that's only 3 years old w/30K miles for only $19.5K. Range Rover resale FTL

range rovers are terrible at retaining resale value. my buddy bought a brand new 08 RR supercharged for damn near $100k, sold it 6 months later (at 8k miles) for $55k on a trade-in for an e90 m3. gas was also $4+ a gallon at that point too, but still...45% is a ton in that short amount of time.

funnier thing is he sold his e90 m3 after about a month with 2k miles...traded it on a diesel touareg. he never really drove the m3 very hard, never got to get hooked.

Thats an incredible price. For that price i would snag one, although i would be scared to have one out of warranty. I might get one for my wife the prices for them used continue to stay low.

Once you own a Range Rover youll never drive any other SUV. My dad has two. An 05 HSE and 06 Supercharged. He went to trade in the 05 and the money they offered was so bad he kept it. There resales are HORRIBLE. I suggest you pick up one that is one year old and save alot of cash for a basically new car.

Most top luxury cars have horrible resale. My neighbor recently picked up an '07 Mercedes S500 for about half price with only 6k miles on it. My own 7 series had lost half it's value in the first two years (which is why I never bought one new).

I'm on my third Range Rover. never bought one new, instead I let the original owners eat the depreciation.

I can vouch for that statement. I had a '91 Range Rover Hunter.

Your buddy doesn't work as a CEO at one of the Wall Street firms being bailed out by the Fed, does he?

+1.
if I could have kept my 06 RR HSE and have my 335 also I would have done it. There is nothing like a Range Rover. They aren't very reliable and yes the resale sucks but they are amazing machines.
