How to destroy a brand new GT3 clutch
And That's It For This New Porsche 911 GT3's Clutch
"Oh my God, that is so wild!" the cameraperson exclaimed. BY BRIAN SILVESTRO MAY 26, 2022 porsche 911 gt3 2022TIK TOK / BRENNANDIETZZ Have you ever cringed so hard at a video you want to throw your phone into a river? That's how we felt this morning after watching the driver of this brand-new six-speed Porsche 911 GT3 try to maneuver around a parking lot without knowing how to drive stick. It's brutal to watch. This clip, published to TikTok by user brennandietzz on Wednesday, shows a 2022 GT3 painted in Lava orange being driven around a parking lot—likely somewhere in Oregon, judging by the plate—by someone who clearly doesn't know how to work a clutch pedal. The car can be heard revving all the way to its 9000 rpm redline as it struggles to inch forward. At many points, the engine's exhaust note clearly does not match the speed the car is traveling, signaling that whomever is behind the wheel is riding the clutch pedal. At one point, launch control inadvertently engages. Yikes. The only person who seems to be alarmed by this situation is the cameraperson. Towards the end of the video you can hear them shouting "Oh my God, that is so wild!" as a passenger enters before the car presumably leaves the area. The comment section is, unsurprisingly, full of gold. "Some people don't deserve nice cars," reads a comment with over 1600 likes. "Is he doing it on purpose???" reads another. One commenter theorizes the car was "probably not even broken in yet," to which the original publisher of the video replied, "it wasn't." The video's original publisher commented on their own as well, saying "and it's a great spec too🥲." We're all for people learning to drive stick. It's what keeps our passion for cars alive, after all. And we're also for people buying manual GT3s, as it ensures Porsche will keep selling them into the future. There's no way to tell whether the driver of this car was indeed the owner, but if they were, we suggest a stick-shift lesson or two before getting behind the wheel again. https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a4...-clutch-video/ |

i do ride my clutch to make noise in parking lots, but don't fucking hold it there; I also hold reasonable revs and make sure to rev /engage and let go. clearly they don't know how to drive stick.

Free-load revving the engine isn't helping longevity of the flat 6 either. Lol. Dude should by a Carolla to practice with; it would be cheaper...

When pulling in/out of a parking space like in that vid there is literally no reason to even touch the gas pedal. That video was beyond cringe. |

I am on the skeptical side, seems to me it’s done on purpose for clicks, views, likes, comments
Certainly got enough people to comment and watch, all that’s left to do after is sell the car, even more profits |

If I wanted to watch some mindless incineration of cash, I'd just turn on the news.

I know I don't need to touch the gas pedal but when maneuvering around tight parking garages you can't simply fully engage or you'll be into the pole. Do blip a little high before letting the clutch bite in and immediately disengage, I sure do. why? because I paid for a 4k exhaust and I want to make noise with it lol. clutch might die a bit sooner but who cares. at least I drove my car the way I wanted. |

lol bro don't classify me with those folk. ive been on these forums since the the F series came out and ordered mine from the factory and have it tastefully modded.
but i do understand your judgments off of what I just posted and get where you are coming from. i mean why buy the car if you aren't going to launch, spin tires, and hoon in it. might as well buy an m340i for an auto? i do like roasting the tires every now and then because; why have a RWD car with all that power. I would have been in something a lot more comfortable if it wasn't for the stick. but hey I judge the fuck out of all the second hand owners in the FB group so cool. go ahead and roast me. FYI my avg speed is 23.7 mph. edit: i do not wear yeezys LOL. my feet are so fucked from running so much its brooks glycerin for me, really cramps the style. on occasion some air force 1s |
