Neighbor's nightly 420 break.

Living in the SE US we only get a few nights where I can leave a window open at night. About a year ago a neighbor somewhere upwind has been lighting it up at around midnight and the stink will catch the breeze and wafe into the bedroom waking me up.

I've tried to be understanding but the frequency has increased over the past week or so and it's getting to the point where I'm annoyed.

Suggestions?

I mean if you have a neighborhood Facebook page you can try that. Else, you can try reporting to the authorities, but good luck. Also if they have their medical card it is useless anyway. It would be similar to a neighbor smoking a cigarette, is what it is. I can see the annoyance though. You could pick up the trade yourself then you probably wouldn't be annoyed - kidding haha

Stop at any red light in Florida and you would think you’re in Amsterdam or Jamaica….I get it but I don’t think there’s anything you can do about it these days

Never understood the smoking while driving thing. Seems like such an unnecessary risk. But I do smell it all the time driving around.

I was out on my boat this weekend and the guys in front of me on the ICW were smoking weed. I get it, but operating a boat is not something people should DUI.

Used to be a toker myself when I was younger. Now I want to protect my lungs. Nothing goes in there but fresh air, if I can help it. I understand your frustration OP.

I know you said you like your window open but since it's bothering you the easy solution would be to close your window if it happens at a certain time. You said around midnight. If you don't like that idea (and I can understand why) then you can consider finding the source and explain yourself and see if they'd consider closing theirs.

If they are smoking outside well I guess that's a different matter.

Really depends on how far you want to take it.

We used to have a problem when I'd come back from a run. I sweat like a pig. An air purifier and candle sorted that. The fan method has worked when food has been overcooked!

It's like that in Atlanta. Hell, I've even smelled it on members at a not so inexpensive gym/club.
