Close up & walkaround with M4 GT3 at Roar Before The Rolex 24

Was at Daytona yesterday for the Roar before the 24 and got to get close up to the M4 GT3 where Thomas Plucinsky from BMW NA gave the BMW CCA M Chapter I preside a walk around the new M4 GT3 race car! Enjoy!

No joke, only now, I understand why the grilles are as they are; mind blown!!

That is one magnificent rig and the grille, I'll probably be shot for this, but the grille actually looks strikingly gorgeous. The Red one is awesome but the black one with the yellow lights on, is just about ready to rip your head off

I know Vorsteiner did their thing and tried to replicate this grille as best they could & I like it.

But whichever company releases the grille closer to this GT3 version and it's polished up, I'm sending you a fat check

Car has built in air jacks, those stands you see there Tom was explaining that they are one off billet pieces to perform alignment and they also use the bottom piece for corner balancing.

It appears they designed the race car first, which had a definite need for the added air flow the grill provides, and then the grill design had to be integrated into the street versions of the chassis. I guess this is why only the 4 series has the grill, and they had to give it to the M3 since motorsport version to match the M4.

Good point. The front end looks proportionate now. The tech is amazing & gauges look so easy to read. They have some amazing tools too. Looked like some kind of killer torque wrench under the rear diffuser. Interesting how much they rely on the waste gates.
