Price please. Not that I'd buy a girly car w/out manual (haha just kidding DCT folks), but I am curious what the discounts are like.

The vehicle is still 10k over MSRP. It was an early order 2009. So the MSRP is 73580. The ones ordered late are raised by nissan 7,000

On top of the 10% from the customer that backed out? Clever...

Hey guys. Relax. The deposit the customer left is 100% going back to him. We cannot keep customer deposits.

And no I don't smoke crack.

haha

nissan dealers are getting caught with their pants down. They probably got too greeedy with the order and the buyer backed out knowing that the prices have dropped dramatically. Did you guys happen to see the movie Hankcock yet? This reminds me of the movie. Shove the GTR up the Nissan dealers "---"

I love it.

Chris,

This is not against you. This is just about business. I understand that in business you must make the most out of everything. The time to make money on the GTR was probably before the October (prior to Wall Street nightmare). Prior to this lots of people had disposable income. Now, many are watching their expenditures. Even those with money are still careful because they can put their money to better use. Besides, those with the disposable income are actually the ones being careful and they're not the type to overpay for anything. The people willing to pay 20-30k over MSRP for a new car are probably the ones being hit hardest by wall street.

good luck with the sale. if I were you, then I would get rid of the car while you can. I'm sure your other Nissan models aren't even selling as well as you would want.

a little bird tells me gt-r's are going for msrp at many stealerships around the US. $10k over is wayyy too inflated.

I understand that you are a member here and just relaying the message so I'll relay one as well just in case someone on here actually wants a GTR. A good friend of mine runs Nissan of Queens in NY and he has two '09 GTR's for sale at MSRP. One is silver and one is white.

If I was in for a GTR I wonder if I'd try to grab an 09 with VDC or just wait for 2010 without it. It would suck to lose that feature, but having a feature that automatically voids warranty (which we've now seen how Nissan has been about it) is not a feature in my book, but a liability. OP, good luck with the sale.

Anyone buying a car above MSRP in this economy is an idiot. I dont care if it is a GTR.

Just wait a month or two and read the news.. car dealers are in for a very cold winter, but somehow they dont seem to know it yet. If I were a car salesman, I'd have my resume on monster.
