Track Day! Carrera GT, Gallardo, F430, M5 and MORE!

Hi guys,

Not long ago I went out with some friends to the track. They all brought out their sweet ass rides and thought id share some pics. I took my Evo IX MR, which I no longer have, for some rally fun. Sorry the quality is a bit crappy I didn't have a good camera. Hope you guys enjoy them

Cool pics ... it must be unreal to drive the F430 and the CGT on a track. One day I will, but hopefully it will be before I'm 90.

So, how did you hold up in the EVO with all of those exotics?

Ha ya me too id love some of those cars Honestly I only drove the Gallardo and Carrera GT that day. Well besides my Evo. And the Evo did really well actually. Im sure some of the guys were pushing their cars hard, but my car ran a 1.34 on that track. And for some comparison the M5 ran 1.36, the F430 1.31, and the Yellow Viper 1.30 on slicks. Im telling you dude ive driven alot of cars and for the money the Evo is an amazing track car. That was stock by the way

By the way, im sure the track also had alot to do with it. There weren't many straight aways or im sure the times would be different. Was built best for cars like the Evo

Sounds like a great experience. What were your impressions of the CGT? That has to be one of the best sounding cars ever made. I have driven an F430 and a Gallardo before, but never on a track. I thought that the F430 was the most balanced car I have ever driven. It just felt perfect IMO.

Also, I agree with you on the EVO. That is definitely a great performing car for the money. When I first got in the passenger seat of a friend of a friend who had an evo IX I almost crapped my pants... that car seems to have endless traction when pushing it through turns, and this guy was a pretty bad driver to be honest. That car seems like its very easy to drive fast. I was impressed.

Yeah, but I'd still take a stock Carrera GT over just about anything.

Ya seriously I would take turns in the Evo and I almost scared myself because it just wouldn't let go. I loved it! As for the F430 I drove it once just not that day, but it does feel amazingly balance as you said. I loved the Gallardo though because it just felt mean ha. Like it would love to be thrown into turns. But the CGT. Absolutely incredible. Everything about it. The handling was like no other. And that V10 engine is so sick. What I really loved about it, was how you could sit in that cockpit and be going 130MPH with so much power and not hear one creak from the interior. That carbon fiber structure is so well built. It was just awesome. I hope you get a chance to experience it.

This is the Sandia Speedway. A smaller track in Albuquerque. I havent driven the New Evo X, but im sure id love the way it drives. Evo's are just so well built . One thing I dont like is how the regular Lancer looks so much like the Evo. But I agree I like the Evo IX looks better.

Funny that the M5 can keep up with the Gallardo and F430 on the straights!
