Wheels are a pain in the ass to clean…

Anyone else think these wheels are the worst to clean? Yet, when they are clean they are so pretty… I do curse at least a lot though while washing them…. Ok rant over… z

I use these on my 666M wheels and I can do each wheel in about 5-10 minutes depending on how dirty they are

That'll make my life and hands and nails better. Thank god all these years my arms are skinny, so I can get in there. But I just ordered these off the link you sent… thank you. I'm assuming it's super soft and won't scratch the black barrel .

I have them, they help but drying them sucked. They looked great clean...8 minutes later they were brown.

Am I the only one that thinks they give a Trans Am vibe?

I have the same wheels.

I use this stuff which removes any iron (brake dust) contamination from the wheels and rotors. You can actually see it work when it changes color.

I've had about 8 cars with Brembos, so as soon as I had a chance to spec CCBs, I did. About 95% less brake dust.

Ha, no. I was thinking the same. But in a good way.

Burt Reynolds and Sally Field would approve.

Have you been able to find these for this platform? Where have purchased them in the past?

You would get these from BMW when ordering the car for about 8k. If you already have taken delivery the ship has sailed.. You could opt for a less dusty pad when the aftermarket catches up. We are all in a similar spot right now... just waiting for parts to be released.

Exactly. I specd them with the car, when I ordered it. They are $8,100. Word is, replacement rotors are $4,100 each. But unless you track the car, consistently, these are 300k mile brakes. And they last about 3-4 times longer than standard brakes, when you do track the car.

Amazon has the 169oz bottle for just $80 if you add it to you 5+ order monthly Subscribe and Save order. You can then cancel. Works out to less than half the cost per oz if you buy a single bottle.

Edit: Here you go. I use S&S (Amazon Subscribe and Save) a lot so it's coming on my next order and price is $78 with 15% discount.

Gfit I have a jug of S&S brake buster but I prefer the sonax. The brake buster typically requires me to get out a brush and agitate things. Beadmaker on the other hand, is one of my favorite products. I wash cars from time to time as a hobby and customers always get a kick out of the finish after a quick layer of beadmaker.

Sorry. By "S&S" I meant Amazons Subscribe and Save which gives you a 15% discount. Oops

My frustration with BMW's overly elaborate wheels continues. I tried the Chemical Guys Diablo cleaner and it did basically nothing. I'll try the Sonax. I can report, however, that the 826's have fewer sharp edges waiting to murder you than the 788's did.

Yep - loving the CCB's. $8100 isn't cheap, but damn they are good and stay soooooooooo clean!
