Thoughts on quality of CT Carbon's stuff?

I saw they released pricing for their G80 Carbon pack, which is $2.7k for diffuser, spoiler, front splitter, and side skirt extensions.

All their stuff seems very competitively priced, no idea if anyone had any good/bad experiences with their F8X stuff?

The one has an extra piece (5 vs 4 pieces). The 5th piece is to replace the entire black side skirt with carbon, rather than just adding a lip to it

for the front lip alone, and at those prices, I'd just pre-order the whole kit

From the reviews of other products, you may have to do some trimming and fitment adjusting. I hate that. But if you aren't a perfectionist and don't care about gaps on one side vs the other, or twisted cf, 80% off is quite a steal.

I ordered multiple carbon fiber pieces from CT Carbon for my 2020 M340i. For what I paid, I am satisfied with all of the products I received. However, on my G80 I am going 100% OEM BMW parts. I added the CF pack because I don't want to deal with fitment issues or any defects in aftermarket products. This is an expensive car and I want everything to be high quality.
The CT carbon products look decent and most likely no one would ever notice that they have any issues. I personally know that the lip doesn't fit perfect and the quality is definitely not the same as BMW parts. For the price, you get what you pay for, so it is a personal preference. I notice the difference and it bothers me because I know the car better than anyone. I wouldn't change what I have, but in the future I'm just going to pay the premium and get the high quality parts. It took some trimming and adjusting to get some parts to fit, so that was annoying. I contacted CT and they said it's common with newer parts for vehicles.
CT has great customer service and quick shipping, I recommend them if you're trying to save money and you're not a perfectionist.

Good perspective, thank you. I wasn't able to get the exterior carbon pack (swapped to an HEA car that didn't have it), and the OEM parts are absolutely outrageously priced if you buy them individually

For everyone thinking this is 80 percent off... They are just gauging interest with pre orders. 20% upfront 80% probably once production starts.

Nice. All I want is the lip. So I'll wait until it's sold separately.

Look forward to you getting yours though, and then reporting back

One is 4 pieces and the other is 5. The 5th piece is a complete replacement of the black side skirt with a CF one.

I still have buyers remorse for not ordering the original CF pack and then just adding to it. Ill still be missing mirrors, front splitters and the side badge. Im hoping by September this stuff is out AM and I can finish up the look and come out ahead of the factory $4700 CF ext pack.

from CT:
  1. Front Splitter - 1 piece design
  2. Side skirt replacement's, replacing the black which is on the car's from factory
  3. Side skirt extensions - these extend the side skirts and give it that more aggressive lower look.
  4. Spoiler - Aggressive ducktail look
  5. Diffuser -3 piece design, replacing all of the black parts which are on the car from factory - these will be able to accommodate the same size exhaust tips as the original and will work perfectly with the CTSP Titanium and SS system

So if you didn't order the carbon fiber package OEM, this will give you the diffuser and duck lip spoiler? I can live without the front inserts and mirrors.

Correct.

This was my rationale for not ordering the CF exterior package. The aftermarket will most likely provide the mirror caps and front inserts soon anyway. I might not even bother with the CF front inserts since my car is black, I might just remove the chicken wire and paint the front inserts gloss black

Thats great bc I felt bad bc I didn't order the carbon exterior package bc I ordered the xdrive car so my budget went to that. Good to know I still can buy some carbon parts for a decent price.

100%. Vorsteiner did me right on my F82, before I shell out a single dollar I need to see their offering.

I'm hoping they do the winglet thingies on the skirts again, but not comically huge like on the M performance G8X ones which I think look awful. Can't wait to see what they come up with and money is ready to go.

My new car is so stock and so boring, parts have to come soon!!
