New toy - RS Q8

X3 M40 in the background to keep it relevant to bimmerpost.

Summary so far: It's very fast and seemingly defies the laws of physics.

Congrats and beautiful car. The RSQ8 is easily the best looking of the "coupe-ified" SUV's.

I also like RSQ8 (aka Urus in detuned disguise). Your car looks fantastic with exterior color being a great choice. How loud is it?

Thanks!

I have double paned glass so it's muted on the inside, but you can absolutely hear the growl and burbles on acceleration. I haven't WOT'ed it yet (literally picked it up yesterday w/10 miles on it), but here's a breakdown so far:

Comfort mode: No engine noise cruising, muted on accel, no pops that I can hear.
Auto: No engine noise cruising, nice growl and some pops on accel, shifts are smooth.
RS2 (everything on max, traction control "off"): Good low growl, shifts hit you right in the spine with a nice thooompf, lots of pops and burbles.

I need to take this through a couple tunnels to see how loud it is since my kids are not tall enough to rev it for me and my wife will roll her eyes at me if I ask her.

There's a Urus around here with AUDI Q8 license plate. It's hilarious and I need to find him again and get a pic. Another guy has:

If you're implying the running cost of this thing is going to make me cry, yes, yes it will. Ah well, YOLO.

No one ever said you ain't gotta pay to play. Judging by the 6 figure whips I think you knew what you’re getting into

Hold up, just noticed the Audi Steven's Creek frame--we're neighbors.

When I saw your first pic I was thinking "that looks just like San Jose, but there's not enough data for me to make that claim". I'll venmo you 10 bucks for a correct guess on where I took the pic of the yellow Uris. I'm betting it's within a 15 mile radius from your home. I always keep my drunk promises

Lol - Rinconada Center. I'm actually headed up to Hakone today to hang out for a bit.

"I'm betting it's within a 15 mile radius from your home. I always keep my drunk promises" lololololllll -- right around 15 miles, I'm in South SJ.
