MIGHTY, MIGHTY impressive car. Under 7 min N'Ring lap is nothing short of incredible. Speaks well for the RS and 2RS.

The 992 GT2 RS is going to be mental based upon the sheer speed of the Turbo S and the CFRP laden GT3.

You have to wonder how much better Porsche can do and then they make more improvements. They are a force to be reckoned with.

This is gonna be one hell of a car. I'm sure the markup and allocations are going to be insane. |

And to think...how much did the purposely hold this car back for the 3RS and the facelift in a few years. It is never even close to a 100% max all-out exercise.

Looks like the PDK won't be a little toggle shifter like the Carrera's. Almost fooled me into thinking it was a stick.

Well Porsche is firing on all cylinders.
They got the offerings with NA engines, Turbos, Hybrids and even full EV. I NEED this GT3!

Pretty incredible, but prior model is way better looking in my opinion. That car was absolutely perfect.

not super impressed.
the lap time is with Cup 2R tires. These are better tires than the last GT3 and RS got. straight line performance is the same weight is the same some improvements to aero and suspension the carbon buckets are the same looks arguably worse (bumper and swan neck wing) From car and driver: Quote:

Yes, overall these are incremental (evolutionary) changes over the 991 but that's what keeps the line focused and true to its form.
In that philosophy, things that ain't broken don't need fixing and tradition is important. But you can't really win as a car manufacturer, can you? Too much change and you have people saying Porsche/BMW/Insert Brand Name here has lost their way...the older models are better. Too little change and you have people complaining about what's the point of the new one...might as well get the older models. My favorite is still the 997.2 but all in all, I think the world is better off having this 992 GT3 than without it. The interior is a huge step up as well (I find the entire 991/981 generation of interiors to be quite horrible). In the end, can we just celebrate the fact that a car manufacturer is even making a brand new car with high-rev NA engine with a manual gearbox in this decade?
