This car will continue to be a driven to cars and coffee for it's once a month warm up cycle of 20 miles. It might as well be a tax donation to a museum.

There's a piece of history right there. I saw my first M1 on the streets of Munich in 1983 or so. Cool stuff.

I bought an M1 as an intermediary for $85k back around 1982 and sold it to its second owner for $95k a few days later after driving it 800 miles. Around 1995 the third owner's "people" contacted me to see if I'd put a value on it or buy it myself. At that point I offered $55k for it. You can follow market value in Gordon Medenica's M1 register and see that it took them nearly 20-years to get back to what they sold for new. And another 20 to get to where they are today. I loved that car. It fit me perfectly!

I believe that one was owned by Paul Walker. If that is the case, that would make sense why its price is skyrocketing

It certainly doesn't hurt. Posthumously it turns out he was a pretty swell guy. And you know that there were people, maybe unable to afford this car at this time, that did indeed spend time secretly wishing they could be him. They'll have money one day, a few of them lots of it.

Paul Walker like him or not, he will go down as a legend in the Holywood car world. Other legends in Holywood would be Steve McQueen or James Dean for the short time he was famous (probably the best drive of the four) or Paul Newman.
Steve McQueens cars still resonate today and he passed away 40 years ago.

That's a pretty callous thing to say.... Just because you have no interest in him doesn't mean he didn't do a LOT for the automotive scene(not talking F&F) and was a pretty good guy from what I've heard. He will be remembered for a long time, if not forever.
