Infinity FX35 - Anyone tried it?
Not to be compared to E90, but just a general question.
How is the handling, interior quality and so on. Tell me your experiences. Thanks C

A friend of mine took home a FX45 for the weekend. It was loaded with every option offered so needless to say there was a lot to play around with. The 45 is reasonably quick. I really don't care for their looks all that much but that is personal preference.
One thing to watch out for is the 20" wheels. Unless the roads you drive on are glass smooth these things ride like chuckwagons. |

I rented a FX35 a couple of years ago and loved it. It was very quick and handled more like a sedan than a SUV. The only strange quirk about this vehicle was its looks and shape. I felt like I was driving around in an egg, as visibility was not as good as it was in my box-shaped Explorer.

I test drove a FX35, the power was OK, body lean was minimal and the cornering grip was pretty good
The steering didn't quite communicate with me as I'd like it to and the transmission seemed to like to hunt gears. it's no BMW............... |

I test drove an FX35 as well...I love the interior/exterior styling, engine sound, exhaust note, handling (FM platform) and taut feel. Wasn't completely bowled over with interior materials/feel/gauges...I believe they have updated/upgraded interior in the last MY though. Also this car is useless as an SUV...cargo space is quite small.

...I test drove one a few months ago. For a long time I thought it looked great and loved the sound of the exhaust. Once I drove it I thought the handling was alright and didn't like the interior layout as much. What's with the cheap looking analog clock?? The FX also had a huge blindspot and so visibility is a big factor esp on crowded roads in a big city.

I test drove an FX35 a little over a year ago. For a brief period I was considering an SUV as a 2nd car. I was VERY impressed with the FX. Overall it handles more like a car than a truck. It seemed to have a nice array of options and was fairly comfortable. However, with the improved handling comes a more firm ride. Many people used to the floaty feeling of other SUV's and some cars may not like the FX.
As far as the styling goes, I actually like it. It really stands out from the other boxes on wheels. The only other SUV's that may have an advantage over the FX would be the upper level BMW X5's (V8's) and Porsche Cayenne (S and above). Ultimately, I realized that I didn't need an SUV at this time and got what I really wanted (the E90).

I lowered mine, installed Strut Bar and put 20mm spacers...drives like a sports car. With Forced Induction, car doesn't feel so heavy at all. I love everything about my FX so far, interior quality is ok..design sux though...Infiniti needs hugh improvment on their leather seats.
