I have a feeling that the X1, unlike the new 7, will NOT grow on me... it looks gross

Yes, 2nd Gen X3 arriving in 2010.Slightly larger...very slightly larger than the current model.Much more emphasis on performance.X1 is the Urban (small) SAV from BMW....the 2nd Gen X3 will be aimed at the mid size SUV market. Thanks! PalBay

Then what would be the market for the X5? It's certainly not the large SUV market. X1, X3, X5, and X6. It's getting crowded in there.

Based on that video, it looks to be competing with the Infiniti EX. It's not a true SUV/SAV (far too low) it's more geared for the wagon-crowd.

If it has off-road capability (which I doubt), I would buy one.

Rightly or wrongly...BMW does classify the X5 as their large model SUV....third row seat and larger size after the 2nd Gen redesign. Thanks! PalBay
