It could be a demo car

As long as the motor's warmed up, I don't see a problem with this. It's not like he's going to mis-shift or anything. The most damage would be a little extra rear tire wear.

Obviously then there is no reason why the factory recommends a break in period.

They do take all Nissans/Infinitis on a 7 mile test track, but I doubt they do standing launches or anything particularly taxing on the car.

I would think that these pics along with a question to Nissan NA might prompt a reaction. Ask if this is what a buyer can expect of their dealers and the condition of the new cars they sell? But to keep things in perspective, how many new cars have been damaged and repaired by the dealer and the buyer was never informed?
