I just had an audible weather alert on my laptop. Dallas is expected to catch some hell. WHAT?
Tornado's, flooding, long term power outages with winds up to 50mph. It said get batteries, food, candles and trash cans full of water to flush toilets... I sure hope they are wrong.

Yup. It said the counter bands are expected to whip through Houston up to B/CS all the way to Dallas. My buddy in Katy isn't answering his phone now. He owns several businesses including a restaurant with a outdoor venue thing for families. It has animals and rides for the young ones. I am sure he has his hands full trying to get the miniature horses, geese, goats and others moved. Poor guy.

As long as they have some oats, hay, seed and water they don't care. In fact they probably will enjoy to "go for a ride" as I tell my dog . No telling how long they have been in those pens. Some may even try and make a break for it.

I enjoy this. Seems like it's inching closer to Galveston. Gonna help my friend board up his house, and tie stuff down. As well as prep his horses for the storm. Is everyone off work tomorrow? Think hitting a bar tonight sounds good. Here's another positive thing, provided everyone has batteries at least we can watch and/or listen to all the college football on Saturday. |

My freezer is full of batteries from so called power outage alerts. Barely room for my beer steins. I heard you guys could be w/o power for up to 3 weeks. Oh the stink that will bring.

+1 Boarded up all the S/SE windows on the houses, cleared out the garage for my car.. Food, drinks, 5gallon paint buckets filled with water, gas, generator, techno music, skimboards.. I'm good to go. (Need to remember to charge the cell and ipod) Just incase you aren't up to date.. Projected storm path. -Nathan
