Good luck and enjoy your time in the school ...You WILL remember it for the rest of your life. I think most architect students experience college life quite differently from others ( know I did but my recollection is quite hazy now ..thanks to partying too much! )

Civil eng and Architects work really close together now a days with all the fancy designs and such.. both are realy exceptional career paths.. I'd say if you are a more problem solver, go with Civil Eng. if you like to design more and find yourself more creative, go for the Architect..

Two different end of spectrum , IMO. What are you best at? Creativity/ artistic inclination or logic/ practicality? If you answered the first one, you probably do better as an architect. If not, the other may suit you better. Try to get a job as an intern (even if unpaid) and see which one better fits you and your talents. Good luck.
