Filling a gap in the model lineup makes sense.
I see no wow factor after one pass through the article. It’s an expensive SUV, a new entrant in a crowded niche. It is a statement on the current economic reality that a carmaker sees growing volume in the segment and they might be able to make money. This speaks to the global economic prosperity currently in play. |

Looks a lot like my 958 but with an ugly attempt at a fastback looking rear end

I think it's very bland looking for both an Aston Martin and a $190k SUV.
The rear of the car doesnt work for me and from the side it indeed reminds me a bit of a Stelvio. I wonder what its undercarriage tech is. Is it completely Mercedes or do they use their own tech?

For Aston i guess it’s fine - they were really more known for their GT cars anyway. If rich people taking long “touring” trips would rather have fast, good-handling SUV’s than the GT cars of old, then i guess this is their evolution.
It’s stupider when you see Lamborghini and Ferrari doing this stuff, but guess what....i actually really like the Urus |

I really like it and being unique is usually expensive. I built one and it came up to well over 200. Cosmos orange loaded up. This and a Vantage AMR manual, please.

I am just totally confused at which market niche this fills...?
If you want a ridiculous fast SUV; get the Urus, it does things some sports cars can't. If you want an absurd luxury SUV, get the Rolls... everything else (this and Bentley included sucks). |
