If they are, someone's probably already bought it.
I was at the Nissan dealership in Torrance, CA when my sister went to go buy her Altima Coupe. There was this premium package obsidion black GT-R, the most gorgeous car in the world. We came back the next day and the car was gone! what gives right? I asked one of the floor salesmen, and they said that most GT-R's they have in the showrooms are already sold. They just keep it in the showroom the protect it from the elements. |

This particular one the owner is keeping in the showroom as display for a month. He's our customer so he let us sit in it. They've sold 4 other ones and each were with a $20k mark up.
BTW, ownership cost on this puppy is ridiculous. $10,000 break job. 1750 miles for every maintenance. Each maintenance is at least $1k.

Just sat in one the other day. I had a friend buy one, 4th one in the state. I have to say they look much much better in person.
Plus I was passed by Cobbs Japanese spec on the track a couple months ago. That was quite a sight.

That info was put out before the cars were even released in the states. Maintenance costs are unreal.

I'm not surprised at the pricey maintenance cost. The brake calipers alone scream I'm expensive. |

Talking to the dealerships, they do charge for maintenance. In fact one of the service manager was showing me a service ticket for a 2 weeks old car that has already been tracked and just came back in for service. I'm pretty certain they have to charge for service just because each dealership spends upward of $35,000 to get the equipment plus the training to be eligible to sell/service a GTR. Even with the $20,000 mark up, they still need to recover that cost, so service is the way to do it.
