Favorite OEM shift knob (non-BMW)
Since this is a BMW forum we all know the ZHP is obviously the best shift knob ever created, so I’m wondering what other manufacturers produce(d) one almost equally as great? I’ve only driven about 10 different manual vehicles in my life so the variety of my experiences is limited, especially as it relates to higher end/classic models.
Curious to see what some of the replies are, pics are encouraged!

My vote is Momo Anatomico, black leather. Great feel and perfect weight.

Metal and gated get my vote.
Oops, ignore the crappy carbon top on the first pic. I had a Ti Cavallini in my old M Coupe, that was just about perfect. |

The original MK I/II VW Golf Ball Shift Knob in the GTI was stellar; though the weighted modern version is amazing as well

It's hard to tell from that angle but the top of it is actually mostly flat. He does have a totally round shift knob in clear purple with glitter in it. Previous owner had it in the car, also works well.

Here's my 1972 Ford Pinto's shifter, which now serves as the release handle knob for my lift's lock.

If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Not OEM. It’s an Amco leather.

I'm guessing this is one of your Triumphs, GT6? I'd love to take an old Triumph out for a drive

Yep, this is the knob/shift lever in the GT6. Back in the day, as soon as you could, you'd replace your sports car's knob with an Amco...$4.95 for leather, $3.95 for wood.
