Can someone briefly tell me how to use paypal. I know you put money into the account with your card, then send it to the recipeint account. But, are there fees? Is there an buyer protection to make sure the goods are shipped? Thanks!

Paypal allows you to use your bank account or credit card to pay for goods.

No fees to send money; fees apply when you receive money.

once you get money you can transfer it to your bank account through paypal. Usually it takes 3-5 days.

You can also get a paypal debit card, you can use it to purchase items anywhere that take visa. As long as the money is there, and i'm not sure they still offer it, but at one time it paid 1.5% back when used to make a purchase.
You can also use the card at an ATM machine, but there are fees involved in that.

There are actually like 4 ways of getting money out. The two listed above, or you can spend it online (ebay or something) or have them mail you a check if you do not have a bank account attached to your Paypal.
