Valentines Day Gifts

Normally I am the type of guy that refuses to participate in Valentines day gift givery. I despise the notion of spending money on gifts/flowers for no other reason than because it's Valentines day. I also realize the competition associated with by women on who receive gifts and those who do not.

What is everyone planning to do for Valentines day for their significant others or what are some memorable gifts that you have given/received in the past?

Gold dipped roses. Will be the 4th year of giving one. Different colors every year and last forever. The price has gone up about $10 and now they offer platinum dipped as well.

We've been married for 7 years, together for almost 12, and have a 4 year old kid.

Probably a nice card and a small piece of jewelry, fancy L'Occitane lotion, and a small box of Lindt chocolates.

Generally, it's the fact that you cared and took notice of the day rather than any individual or actual gift.
