I saw the new Mazda 6 on the road and it definitely looks tons better than the current 6. The Mazda 3 seems to be borrowing a lot of the front hood lines from the Mazda 6.

I dont like the new Mazda 6. It's character lines and creases are not very well defined. The car looks very bland. The headlights from the 6 and here on this 3 Concept too.

Hmm...I've got mixed feelings about it...but it's more good than bad for sure.
What I do like: -Much more upscale looking than the outgoing model. -Plenty of surface detail. -A consistent theme for the mostpart. -Headlights look nicely detailed. -Overall front looks like a nice logical evolution of the overall Mazda face (can definitely see some RX8 in the grille). -Sideview mirrors are badass looking. Probably won't make it to production. -All the lines are very defined and crisp. -The kink in the rear quarter window coupled with the lower swage line really does evoke a sense of speed. -The wheels compliment the design, not destract. -The kink in the roof along the cantrails is something new that you don't usually see, and I like it. -The exhaust tips look great. I'm not gonna bitch if they're fake. I don't care. What I don't like: -I don't like the rear lower swage line. It curves downward instead of upward like the line in front of the break. -The taillights look like something that belongs on a Toyota. Seriously. They need to be lower, slightly bigger, and less droopy. Toyota tends to have a sort of unofficial trademark on droopy taillights imo. -The kink in the rear quarter window, while nice looking, doesn't flow into the upper edge of the rear window. Not a big complaint, but it's a bit of an annoyance. I guess you can sort of make a line to the bottom of the third brake light. -The trunklid design looks...awkward. I guess I need to see a badge or something, but there's a lot of openness in it compared to the rest of the car that seems a little out of place. -I don't like the crown in the middle of the hood. It's a bit much for me and I think without it, the car would look much better from the front 3/4. -I don't like the lower edge of the rear bumper. It looks too flat. It needs to hang at the side or something. Maybe they could work with the outer curves of the exhaust tips or something. -Not sure about the placement of the badge. It looks good, but I want to see what it could look like if it was placed on the edge of the hood instead, in a traditional manner. Overall I like it, a lot.

Looks like an Alfa Romeo 147 with extra 'flair' (good and bad), an interesting design nonetheless.

We all got scammed.
this is a photshop!!!!!!!!!! http://www.leftlanenews.com/2010-maz...rendering.html 2010 Mazda3 pre-production concept actually Photoshop rendering July1 Some things in life are just too good to be true. Such is the case with the images of the 2010 Mazda3 5-door we brought you yesterday. Originally believed to be leaked photos of a pre-production concept, it has been discovered that the images are actually just Photoshop renderings. The images were first posted on Russia’s Render.ru, but quickly spread to several automotive sites. Laurens van den Acker, Mazda’s design chief, said the new Mazda3 would showcase a new design direction, which led us to believe we were looking at the real deal. The creator of the renderings did a spot on job incorporating Mazda’s Nagare design theme as well as combining concept with production design elements. With a launch date set for 2009, it should be too much longer until Mazda gives us an idea of what the real Mazda3 will look like.

...you've gotta be kidding me.^
This is by far the most professional rendering I've ever seen. Kudos to the man who made it. I'm actually dissapointed that this isn't the real thing. And OBI, nah I'm not banned lol.

I had a feeling it was a PS but then I thought "nah, noone would have made several images". It looked like they were official pics that lost some quality. Well done to the artist. With tweaks, we were on to a winner. Mazda take note.
