i had a friend of mine master it. no post-editing, just the sound stuff, because some of the tracks are not mastered right to begin with, and sound like shit.
there is one track close to the middle that had pretty much 0 high's and sounded all empty. he did some analog woodoo to it.

not too familiar with this type of music, I listen to some trance/techno back in the days...

well, i pay for the tracks.

after that when i mix them together, i pretty much produce my own "remixes" of it, by blending in/out with other tracks, messing with EQ and so on. And then I release the my mixes for free as promotional material. Frankly, I have no idea why would someone have a problem if you put their track on your mix. It's free advertisement, but I guess some people are too fucking greedy. If someone ever contacts me and throws a fit about me playing their music, they can be sure i will never ever play any of their shit ever again.

If i decided to sell my mixes, that would be a different story. i would have to contact each producer/label and request to license their tracks. in many cases that would be impossible or too expensive because producers sell the track to a label for pennies, but label turns around and makes thousands in licensing fees.
