STL BMWCCA Social Drive
We initially met at Designs in Motion, a scale car model shop. They had a tremendous amount of scale models, alas no E92 M3.
We set out from there for a planned route with select destinations along the way. This was the first such drive I had been on and I must say it was splendid. They had mapped out a very twisty journey to our first destination, the Stone Hill Winery. They had a nice German restaurant with great food. It was such a joy to push the M3 around the corners and to feel how it handled the terrain. I was hooked and just kept pushing it harder. The car obviously has TONS of grip. Some roads were quite narrow with a conglomerate of trees lining the edge. It just added to the adrenaline. The STL BMWCCA meet actually turned out to be just an ///M meet. Two E36 M3s, one E46 M3 cab, my E92 M3, and the always classy E39 M5. My day started like this. A cop shooting LIDAR at 8am on a Saturday morning. 77 in a 55. Some shots from Designs in Motion. I was able to snap a couple of rolling shots.
