We will try to land a person on Mars by 2030...it will cost over $100 billion of our tax dollar and some more form investors to do so. Over half of the spacebrobes sent to Mars failed and has crash landed...many will die on this journey before we successfully land one on there. I really don't know how they plan on colonizing Mars...the planet is too cold and the terrain is too rough for humans to survive. They have absurd theory of thawing the planet via Terraforming; dumping greenhouse gases into the atmposhere and heating up the planet. Same thing we do on Earth that causes global warming. We might as well live underground here on Earth it'll be much easier that way.

Since our ice in the North Pole is melting, we are going to bring Martian ice and put in the the North Pole so the polar bears don't drown.

OP...you'd be quite naive to think that this discovery has no significance towards our space exploration efforts..

A lot of things in our history have been intially thought impossible, only to become well-known and the norm later on.

You should have some respect for the scientists that make our world a better place - the same people who you will depend on once global warming sets in hard.

I mean, I think its mostly a political face thing, like I can do it and you can't that's why my dick's bigger type of deal.

I hope you do realize that one day, there will be no more earth. Whether it be the sun destroying it when it becomes a red giant or whether we destroy it with killing the ozone layer. If the species, humans want to survive, they're going to have to find a place to live elsewhere.

By the way, I read that article on space.com about the melting ice theory. They didn't find any water in the oven chamber, but they deduced that frozen water (ice) was in the photos.

I'm just a lowly lay person, but would someone explain to me why that frozen stuff couldn't be some other organic frozen liquid? (e.g., methane); probably has something to do with melting points/freezing temps.

I also presume that there's no chance that any of the propellant from the lander could be below it and could have frozen in the cold Mars environment.
