Sadly BMW is again not conducting a Press Day conference at this year's New York International Auto Show. I was hoping last year was only a fluke but I guess not.
Edit: No Ford conference either... and still Alfa Romeo is relegated to Thursday? : NYIAS Press Day Conference Schedule https://www.autoshowny.com/press/#/press-conferences

But MINI will have the world premiere of the 2018 MINI models as MINI were not in attendance at Geneva.

Models that you and some other auto fanatics know about. The general buying public, however, may not -- which is the point of an auto show.
The general buying public is what carmakers actually care about: not you, and not some other auto fanatics. We're a gear in the machine because of our heightened interest. We are not a piston.
