Instagram Engagement Group
Hello everyone!
As a lot of you may know Instagram has introduced a new algorithm that displays your feeds in non-chronological order; and based on the engagement a new post receives depends on how many people it will release it too in their feeds. A popular method for gaining engagement are "engagement groups" which increase your chances of posts ending up on the explore page, or top of your followers' feeds. I am going to get an engagement group going on Instagram for forum members, where you message your post right after posting a picture and all members must like within the hour to increase your engagement; all members must also follow each other. Please only join if active on Instagram! I know many of you are active on Instagram, so lets help everyone's pages grow! Comment your Instagram handle to begin! I'm seeing more and more of these types of thread pop up everywhere now. People must really be fiending for them likes, jk.
Just curious, but how will this be enforced so that everybody is contributing and not just benefitting? |

Inactive members or "leechers" get removed from the engagement group, by the moderator (me). |

Common Sense. If you are signing up for a group like this, its "common sense" that you would participate in it. I doubt any of us are going to checking who liked what.

I will moderate to a certain extent to ensure we are all getting mutual benefits out of the group Otherwise defeats the purpose!

Makes sense. I didn't know there would be a mod of a sort in these groups as I'm only now finding out such a group exists, lol.
Another question: Why limit it to just forum members if your intent is max exposure? Why not expand/include FB users who aren't necessarily on forums (or consolidate with existing groups)? Could I join just to see how these groups are organized and run (I'd participate so as not to just leech)? Or, am I thinking too much and it's simply just a group of people in a chat that notifies one another after posting and liking? |

There are many facebook engagement groups with 5000+ members but they end up being very cluttered with unnecessary chat and jargon unfortunately.. As you thought, in simple terms it is a group of people in chat that notify one another after posting & then the other members like/comment on those posts to increase engagement. Instagram recently implemented an algorithm that releases your post to 10% of your followers, and depending on how that 10% engage with it, they increase the exposure and possibly to the explore page also. edit: happy to add you to the list if you're interested to participate! |
