Wicked wicked high HP Cobra
I just saw a thread about a race with a few cobras.. Since this is a turbo thread I figured I could post a few TT Cobras.. since we're all car freaks (well I am)
I fell in love with the 03 Cobra the day it came out. I've had 3 cobras and I one day WILL buy a 03 cobra for a project car. It's the baddest "power making" car since the Supra. Does anyone have any clue what these things are capable of? Tell me what you guys think! ... Oh BTW.. keep in mind these are all STOCK STOCK STOCK INTERNALS!! Bump under 1200 rwhp http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustan...lip-15228.html Only 1020 rwhp http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustan...lip-15277.html Video http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu...deoID=23913453 Or how about a "safe" 900 rwhp with only 24psi http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustan...lip-15230.html So Cobra $25k + $10k (turbo fuel.. ect) = a land missile that would rape anything from a Veyron to a Hayabusa. "Yeah but it's no BMW.. no class.. no handling.. cheap interior"... Yeah well non of our BMWs run high 8's @ 155 mph on drag radials and full weight

Cobras are quick cars and very cheap to mod. My friend has a 04 cobra with a ported stock Eaton and supporting mods and a shot and made 666RWHP and 723RQTQ. That's with just a little over in 2K in mods. They are cool cars, and the savage toque that throws you in the seat is fun, and the whine from a twin screw never gets tiring.
And as gay as this sounds one of my other friends has a V6 mustang with a 60mm turbo that makes over 400RWHP. It is sooo much fun to race people and smoke them in a V6 mustang. They are like WTF.... |

he isnt saying you cant talk about other amazing cars. if you look at the "General Automotive (non-BMW) Talk + Photos/Videos" there is talk about plenty of cool non-bmw cars and it acutally has five times the number of posts as the general bmw section above it.
this thread obviously doesnt fit under the "Turbo / FI Engine and 335i Tuning / Drivetrain / Exhaust Modifications" the other one did (sorta) because it was referencing what a tuned 335i can run compared to another fast car. people looking into this section considering a tune obviously wonder what its comparable to. |

stock cobra blowers are not twin screws. They are roots eatons. Kenne Bell and Whipple both make a twin screw upgrade. they sound very different.

I have a 93 cobra, that is bone stock in motorwise with just a S trim supercharger on it running 14 lbs and fuel system upgrades, the car made 441whp and 420tq @ the wheels and the car runs in the high 10s with slicks on it and drives like its stock. You cant beat a mustang for the bang for the buck. The valve covers and intake have never been off the car.
I also have a 89 Mustang with a carb'd 393 stroker motor, naturally aspirated. It makes 560 @ the wheels and that car goes low 10s on slicks. Its probably the nastiest NA car anyone here has ever heard or seen. |

I miss my Cobra.
Oh well, I honestly would take my 335 over my Cobra. The Cobra is a ridiculous amount of fun and faster than hell, but the 335 drives so much better. As much as I liked the Terminator, I'll be going to a classic next.

The race thread CLEARLY had a 335 in it and actually belonged in the FI forum, this does (did) not. God, I'm so jealous, I WISH I had a Slowbra! |
