Apple Acquiring Netflix

If Apple acquires Netflix that will be great! Stock is up today. It will be heavily integrated into Apple TV. For those without an Apple TV it will be called Apple TV something or other, or iTunes TV.

^This. I don’t see how less and less competition will be great. Disney, Amazon and Apple are buying every media company out there and I don’t like it.

As much as I love Apple, this would not be good for consumers.

I'd rather Apple make a bigger splash and buy Disney.

Great, a company that once censored Ulysses and Bouden's adaption of The Importance of Being Earnest now having more content? This would be terrible consolidation ... a company that doesn't value content or the consumer taking over one that has routinely pushed the envelope on the content side. I really hope this doesn't happen ... won't take me long to cancel my Netflix sub.

Yup, not good. Less competition is a bad thing for consumers. Maybe Apple will charge an extra fee for using Netflix on non-apple devices.

LOL every ride at Disney would consist of a face scan at the beginning of the line so Apple can determine if you are old enough to ride.

Disney already has every fingerprint of its guests and have sneaker scanning technology that can identify individual people by their shoes.

This rumor was designed to help Netflix, they are beginning to have issues. Their selection is dropping off, Besides their original content there not much reason to have them any more. Recent when looking for 3 older videos and they were not on Netflix unless I wanted to get them on DVD which I do not pay for this service anymore. However did find them on Prime and Apple for rent. Primes and Hulu seem to be the new game in town. I think Netflix has hit it peak and may start dropping off. Apple does not buy companies at their peaks so I double this will ever happen.
