Advice on buying a new car?

My GF is looking at the 2008 B7 Audi A4 2.0T and I would like to know how much discount should I expect from the dealers.
Since the all new B8 A4's coming out in a couple of months, I'm expecting to get it at a very reasonable price.
I emailed several dealers and they are saying only $2000 off the MSRP.
How should I deal with the dealers in order to move them more agreesively?
Thanks in advance.

Negotiate up from invoice, not down from MSRP.
