what is your favorite BMW speed

might be my OCD, but when I set the cruise, I love setting it to 128 (KMH)
(because mine is a 128)

It's just a bit of fun, so hayters, please stroll on

A cool 125...Most OPP officers don't care if you're going 25km/h over the speed limit on 400 series highways. Anything above and you're in trouble. I know from experience. lol

135 km/h cruising (in Mexico). Pedal to the metal on access highway ramps or track.
Have not reached past 250km/h yet. Not enough room to do it safely.

128 for me as well.

Car seems to get the best highway FE around 124-125, and there is a very slight vibration at 130-132, and police tend to leave you alone as long as you keep it under 130.

80 mph, because fuck Kmh

Seriously though 80-85 is probably my favorite because of how smooth the car cruises at this speed, while also being with the flow of traffic so I don't stand out to law enforcement on my commute in.

I also still manage 24-26mpg somehow.

So I can only go 2 in my M2? I'd rather walk...

Pedal to the metal!

Texas highway 130 has an 85 mph speed limit, so I usually set the cruise to about 93 (150 kph). Car seems right at home at that speed

I'm liking this. Gonna have to use this line when I get pulled over for going 228kph in my 228.

On a slightly more realistic note, I found that for me, peak mpg was around 75-80mph; on roads allowing >80 the mpg dropped just a little. And mine gets almost as good mpg driving mountain twisties (where the fun per mile is at least 50x highway miles). Love those western speed limits - something very liberating about setting cruise control to over 90, or having a patrol car drift by, totally uninterested, at 85mph.

Are you all basing this on your BMW speedometer, or some form of GPS??

Because for me, the former is lower, and I usually cruise at 80MPHBMW

I have a Carly and have turned on the uncorrected speed in the gauges. Within 1 km/hr of GPS verified speed.

95 MPH (~153 Km/hr.) is right where I like to be. I had my digital speedo coded to display actual speed. so that's how I set cruise. Waze and my Passport 9500ix confirm it is accurate.

I had that and the ability to close the windows with the FOB changed on my. The analog speedo is still wrong, but I look to the digital display if I want to be right.

That nice CHP officer confirmed the digital was correct

I wish. With our 100 km/hr speed limits, getting caught doing 50 km/hr over is an immediate vehicle seizure and licence suspension, min $10,000 fine, and possible jail time. Good times.

Pedal to the metal of course! But it's hard to do that in the Fort Worth area (and only on a closed circuit with a helmet on, of course).
