Hey guys, I'm in the process of looking for a nice, versatile automatic watch in the $300-500 range. I think I've narrowed it down to the four below, but now I'm stuck. My gut tells me to go with the Mido, but it is also at the top of the price range. Your help is appreciated!

Hamilton Jazzmaster Viewmatic
Tissot Visodate
Glycine Combat 6
Mido Multifort

I think I would pick the Tissot followed by Hamilton.Glycine acquired by Invicta not that's not the cause that it doesn't pick the top two place on the rostrum .Mido is a brand that offers OK watches for their price range .

Thanks for the insight everyone, I'm somewhat of a novice but I was under the impression that Mido was a step above Hamilton and the like, so this is good info.

Any similar black dial / black ip watches in the range that I should look for?

Accurate, very legible - chk out their Atomic Solar models in steel. Realize you may want automatic.

Lame, get a Maratac instead. That's a badass watch worn by pilots and special forces. Tritium illumination and similar price range.

Of those four, go for the Hamilton. That Mido is fugly, and not what I would call versatile.

I actually came across a killer deal on a Certina DS Podium, so I ended up pulling the trigger on that. Just waiting for it to arrive

Its all depend on what you want. And also your style & somewhat age. I prefer the Mido mainly because it modern compared to the other watches.
