If it wasn't for the fact that the prices is almost equal to what I payed for my 335, I'd really think about the X. In white, its badass.

And there is mitsu's failure. The car used to be popular because it was fast as hell and relatively cheap. Now it's still fast but it's not cheap. (And it's slower than the old one straight line with only a pussified transmission in the top end model)

Agreed, it used to be excusable because the car was relatively cheap, but now that it's in the 40k range it's inexcusable.

Exactly. I'm shocked that it's priced that high. I'm not sure who will be buying this. Most Evo owners reject it because of the tranny, weight, and engine. Older folk won't. Kids that want a X will have to beg their parents. Maybe Mitsu knows something everyone else doesnt. I like the interior though. Light years better than the Evo 8/9.

That is not an MR..it's a regular GSR. The MR has a vortex generator and an automatic engine.
I don't know what you guys are talking about, cutting close to a 335i in pricing. The pricing of the X are nearly identical to what the VIII and IX sold for. You can get a new one for 32-33K out the door. Add around 2k if you want navi. While any 335i will run at least $40k OTD. You guys talked as if any new Evo in the U.S. can be had for the same price as a Civic. It was always in the low to mid 30s, depending on what trim you wanted. If you guys want to talk about price increase, go look at the new STi. If anyone wants an Evo at a great and unbeatable deal, certainly check out South Coast Mitsu in SoCal. They've had buyers from the other side of the coast fly in to close the deal, lol. I would love another Evo, but unfortunately not for a daily driver anymore. The biggest beef I have with the car is that the super narrow arm rests on the doors. |

I like the front too. I think the problem I have with the back is that there is too much flat, uninteresting surface, and boxy square corners. Then you have those slits for tail lights positioned so high on the trunk, which give it a high center-of-gravity look. The overall effect is that the rear looks skinny and high--the same reason I don't care for the Lexus IS rear end. It's obvious the designers were trying to match the front headlight pattern, but they were being too logical, and less artistic IMO.
