M6 GTLM Qualifies 1st and 3rd at Circuit of the Americas for IMSA race this weekend
For the first time in a while, things are looking good for the M6 GTLM and BMW RLL. The #24 car is on the pole with a qualifying time of 2:02.833 set by John Edwards. Alexander Sims is right on his heels in the #25 car with a 2:02.990, with the two M6 GTLMs split by Giancarlo Fisichella in the #62 Ferrari 488 GTE.
1st: J. Edwards - BMW M6 GTLM - 2:02.833 2nd: G. Fiscichella - Ferrari 488 GTE - 2:02.865 3rd: A. Sims - BMW M6 GTLM - 2:02.990 The question is whether they'll be able to maintain pace during the race. This wouldn't be the first time the M6 GTLM qualified well, only to reveal its shortcomings in the race, where you're not able to drive the ideal line, and you have to ask more of the car. I guess we'll see. Qualifying Results from Al kamel Systems Same Results, but by Class
