What is their cost of a Jaguar engine (no transmission and not sales price)? Somewhat surprised they can get almost $2 million worth of engines in a trailer.

Well it was 2 full trailers this round, each with 75 pallets loaded, 4 engines per pallet (V6 Gas and Diesel). Another trailer was taken a few days earlier.

I assume there's an APB out for somebody buying a truckload of gaskets for Jaguar engines.

I can't see this working long-term. Too many ways to trace it back to them. Engines these days are so specific to the exact application, with their ECUs and other equipment, you can't simply drop them in another car, and if it's something that's used as a replacement (crash/warranty) being currently produced, then there'd be a bunch of ways to trace it back as a stolen engine. Unless they are holding them hostage or something ridiculous, it just doesn't seem like it'd make the thieves any money.

More than likely the thieves will ship them to another country, scrap the engines, and melt them down to sell. Maybe not as valuable as the engines themselves, but certainly a way of making money on the lot without anyone noticing.
