2017 AMG GLA45 Facelift
Would You Daily This Instead Of A F80?
Mercedes-AMG?s smallest SUV, the GLA 45, has received a facelift and gained a new top-spec model. The range topping Yellow Night Edition gives the GLA 45 a very distinctive look thanks contrasting yellow highlights and a matt grey stripe. The visual changes to the ordinary GLA 45 arent dramatic, but they subtly freshen-up the mini-SUVs exterior. The lower front lip and air intakes now look neater, and chrome grille inserts and sill panels brighten up the outside. Theres a new diffuser at the back thats highlighted by a chrome insert and a new set of 20-inch wheels are also available. The facelift hasnt only been cosmetic though; a reprofiled roof spoiler and the new front bumper have helped to reduce wind resistance. The GLA 45s key, along with the gearlever, now sports the AMG emblem as standard. But there are fewer opportunities to show off that Affalterbach brand logo as this latest version of the GLA 45 can now be equipped with keyless entry. There are mechanical changes to the GLA 45, too. The AMG Dynamic Plus package, including AMG Ride Control and a Race driving mode, is now supplemented by a mechanical locking differential for the front axle. Power and torque remain the same as before however, at 376bhp and 350lb ft, respectively. The GLA 45 now joins the A45 and CLA 45 by being available in Yellow Night Edition specification. These top spec models are painted in either Night Black or Cosmos Black and come with matt grey and yellow details. The wheels are finished in black with yellow rims and the horizontal bar in the grill is also black to match. The GLA 45s lairy-looking aerodynamic package, which includes a substantial rear wing, comes standard on the Yellow Night Edition. Inside the Yellow Night Edition GLA 45 gets the AMG performance seats and steering wheel. Both are finished in Dinamica microfibre fabric with yellow stitching, and the steering wheel also get a yellow strip at the 12 oclock position. Yellow AMG logos appear on both the sills and floor mats, while the mats' edges and the upper air vents have also been finished in yellow. It isnt just the AMG version of the GLA thats been treated to some updates, as the entire range has had an overhaul too. New seat covers and plenty of chrome differentiate the new cars interior from its predecessors, and a 360-degree parking camera can now be specified. New bumpers, wheels and a new colour (Canyon Beige) give the car a new look and LED headlights replace the old cars bi-xenons. |

NO....I would have to own a car that at some point I would be tempted to just turn back around and stare at it while I was walking away.
That lump definitely doesn't do it for me.

They're a few generations back in Haldex, those things are effectively fwd unless you're getting serious wheel slip. Would not buy over a 330i, much less an M3.

IDC waht anyone says, I can't help but love the GLA45 AMG! I saw one while I was driving the Macan S and I couldn't help but say "look at that thing!" to the Porsche sales person. haha

funny because it's true.
I like the Subaru STI too so that might explain my love for this vehicle. Although, I would take GLA45 or an STI over the Focus RS. That's just me though.

I'm a bit biased because I own an S3 Sedan - but if I were to be getting another car, I'd be getting one of these.
400hp, 7 spd DSG and an awesome sounding 5 cylinder turbo motor. http://jalopnik.com/the-audi-rs3-sed...der-1787221115 |
