Still too much $ for a Camaro. Maybe I'll look at getting one in a couple years when the typical GM depreciation has put the $ where it should be.

Too much money? 63k? Does not compute. 650/650 and look at its times.
John Hennessy: It's a steal. Pull that wing and replace with a wrap around short duck. Good to go.

He has a video with the ZL1 against a Hellcat (auto) and the Hellcat walks it. They also show multiple races. Hellcat mostly won because of the auto trans tho.. it would jump everytime the ZL1 had to shift. That being said, for some reason the Camaro never does it for me. I'd rather get a Vette Grand Sport with Z07 pack.. they are about the same money. Starts from 65,640.

Probably would come down to a coin flip. Both are great cars for the money imo. NA would probably win my heart though. The Grand Sport can also take in my golf clubs. That's big for me.
Hellcat...fast car. Heavy car. Would be fun but not my cup of tea or money spent. GS spec to my liking is over 80 msrp.

The GS (manual) was just .1 seconds slower on an almost 3 minute lap, than the GT3 RS around VIR during the car and driver lightning lap 2016. The auto would have beat the RS time for sure. Thats very impressive, curious to see what the ZL1 will do.

Everyone always talks about, thats too much for a Camaro. Well, that expensive Camaro that everyone seems to think it has no heritage other than being driven by white trash, mullet having trailer trash is whooping up on those elite $200k+ cars. And has been doing so since its debut in 2015.
The ZL1 stepped up its game even more this year and the Z/28 has to be even more of a game changer, I hope. Do I want to own a Z/28 or ZL1? No. I'd stick with the 2017 Camaro 1LE because thats my preference. If none of you can say it is a amazing car to pull off laps times equal or better than those elites, then you are no car person but a badge holder. By the way, GM finally admitted the new Z06 has a terrible issue with retarding timing which causes serious power loss. This comes after actual owners have shared their data since it's release. Seeing as the engine in the ZL1 is the exact same engine, I hope GM "fixed" that issue. |

Wow! American cars are putting down some amazing numbers! Great time to be alive for someone who would own a Camaro, Mustang, or Corvette.
Thanks for sharing. Also, amazed to see how fast the automatic was at Big Track Willow. That is blazing fast! Reminds me of this Camaro video. Skip to like 35 seconds to listen to it idle. Makes me want to buy a big block with a huge cam and throw it in any car so to listen to it idle at stop lights. |

I want to love the Camaro, but I feel like I'm still in a coffin. No doubt the new ZL1 will be something to look for in the future as I will be in the market again soon. I would definitely be hard pressed to say no given everything it has where the Mustang GT350 doesn't have.
Thanks for sharing the review. |

They're out in the wild! I saw a blue one today about 1 mile from my house with a temp tag on it. Looked VERY nice.

Too bad, you are missing a great front engine (really mid) RWD car with great suspension and handling.

1LE's just started arriving as well maybe a couple of weeks ago. The only thing I hate about the ZL1 is the stupid grille on the front. It doesn't look appealing to me at all. Plus the stupid hood. The last ZL1's hood was better. |

As I will be in the market in a year or so, I won't be missing out on much if I go with the GT3 RS. I'll still be waiting on the new GT500 to hit the market if more updates become available.
