ALIEN: Covenant (Prepare Yourselves!!!)

I have been following this highly anticipated movie from legendary producer Ridley Scott for years. Details are finally here with trailer being released "very soon". In the meantime... Viewers of a pre-screening trailer have commented on how "gory, incredible, OMG, and the return to roots of the original!"

I for one can NOT wait as I rank ALIENS in my "TOP 10 Greatest Movies of All Time" list and ALIEN in my "TOP 20 but in my Top 5 Greatest Horror Films".

This is ginormous for me and will be my 'most anticipated movie of 2017'!

The May 19, 2017 release date is big jump up from the original August 4, 2017 and it feels like a vote of confidence from the studio. It’s a sign that 20th Century Fox thinks their R-rated science fiction horror movie can hang in the early days of the summer movie season, when the biggest movies emerge to showcase box office dominance.

Fantastic!

Prometheus left so many unanswered questions and I hope Scott will clear them up as they transition into this new offering.

The Alien franchise is one of my favorites and I'm stoked that this one is coming relatively quickly after Prometheus. Big win!!

I was too but not as much as I thought I would be.

I wonder what they will say about the girl that survived too. My guess it's years later or she died from something.

Which begs a question I have always had on my mind. When you watch a youtube video, at what point does a 'view' register?

Like if i start a video and close it after a few seconds, does it register a view or is it at a certain amount of viewing time? And is it the same as if you're on youtube site or watching from embedded video on forums? Have always wondered.

Fun fact about the original Alien chestburster scene... the cast had no idea what was going to happen. It was written generically in the script and the actor John Hurt was the only one that knew.

What you see in the movie was shot ONCE by 4 cameras and the looks of the cast was absolute pure real terror in their faces. The actress who played Lambert actually passed out and the guy who played Parker was so freaked out he went back to his trailer and wouldn't talk to anyone for hours.
