Maryland drivers.....

Maryland drivers.....

http://baltimore.cbslocal.com/2016/1...in-i-95-crash/

The drivers never seem to learn and the Md DoT never seems to learn to actually take proper care of the roads down there.

My personal favorite was the baltimorons shooting each other a couple years back during one of the "Snowpocalyse" storms they had where folks were shoveling out parking spaces and trying to "Reserve" THEIR spaces with lawn furniture.....

There's truly nothing like Bloodymore......well....maybe DC.....they get the added fun of diplomats with the Red White and blue plates of death to avoid at all costs.

I wonder if Scott is out shoveling out his M235 as we speak...stay safe.....dont get shot

Doesn't surprise me. Between the lack of driving skills and the me attitude where most drivers in this area are self deputized law enforcement feeling entitled to dictate how fast YOU drive. Then you have the busy bodies who don't have anything better to do with their sad existence but to stare at flashing lights on the side of the road slowing to a crawl to get the best look they can instead of minding their own business and paying attention to their own driving.

The above may be a bit understandable. Bad weather and all. To include the Virginians, there was a big wreck on I495 near RT 50 North bound involving about 30 cars with one fatality.

http://www.wusa9.com/news/local/virg...ars-/372062906

What I won't give a pass on are the idiot drivers that get into crashes when the weather and conditions are perfect. Especially the morons who manage to flip their vehicles.

But is Interstate 83 not a mind blowing place to get anti-social from Baltimore city up to Pennsylvania ?

Thats an understatement.....

I remember driving on the beltway in the rain in the left lane and all of a sudden the tard ahead of me would just stop........not pull off into the median/shoulder....just STOP........65 to ZERO....WTF kind of tard DOES this?!?!?!

I've seen that happen more than once......and thats just the flipping RAIN.......they cancel schools down there 2 days in advance of the PREDICTION of a couple inches of the "White Death from above"

I've had that very situation where a tard just slammed on their brakes for no reason. Some while just driving my personal car and a situation or two when I was driving the meat wagon for my rescue squad. Nothing like trying to get to a call with lights and sirens expecting a driver to slow and move over but no....they just slam on the brakes in front of you causing you to swerve a vehicle with a high center of gravity.

By God....you're a local or at least used to be.

But yes the only thing I fear more than a car with Maryland tags are those fucking Diplomat tags. Saturday was a mess though with the freezing rain. You can guarantee that with any rain or snow related event, the Maryland side of the beltway will become a parking lot.

That said, VA drivers suck ass too, but for whatever reason the MD drivers are just awful.

To add some more to this thread, I witnessed two instances of out right stupidity. Both Maryland drivers. One was when I was driving out of my neighborhood. A Honda Civic gets in front of me. I immediately notice the very flat right rear tire. I also see the tell tale sign of an idiot driver with their inside rear view mirror cocked really far facing the driver's side in the position of vanity. I drive behind this fool for about a mile and witness some moments of the tell tale sign of cell phone texting. I was finally able to get along side of the car and I won't lie, I thought I would see some female behind the wheel. To my surprise it was a dude. I tried to yell out the window about the state of his rear tire, but he pulled off into a left turn lane and I had to continue going straight due to traffic and a green light.

Second instance was on the highway were another idiot driver was going slow in the left lane then changed lanes to the right. Started to drift back toward the lane hash marks like whoever couldn't make up their mind about which lane they wanted to be in. I get along side and it's another brain dead idiot doing the texting on their phone and also has earbuds in her ear.

Man I wanted to be able "Lucille" both these Darwin candidates.

I think the thing I hate about MD drivers is the pacing on the highway. Couple weeks ago I got stuck behind 3 lanes of cars driving literally side by side by side on 695. Tried to get over to the left hand lane and when I finally did the jackass I was behind was doing 60mph.

Every time I look at the washington compost I expect to see a full page advertisement recruiting the worlds worst drivers to move to the Md-DC-NoVA corridor.....

An active recruiting effort is the ONLY thing that could POSSIBLY explain why Md drivers suck so much

While VA drivers are terrible, i.e., slow drivers in the left lane, no turn signals, etc; MD drivers are just fucking crazy. Most are driving old riced out vehicles, recklessly changing lanes and always cutting you off. When I see this, I just move over and hope the maniac doesn't kill anyone.

You actually aren't required by law to use a turn signal in MD.

Wow, a site that still insists on using Adobe Flash. No way does that get installed on my computers.

This is my biggest pet peeve by far on the road. 3 lanes, 3 cars in each lane, none of them staggered and matching speed for miles.

It's definitely the toughest situation to be calm in.

I learned to drive in MD and it actually took me a while to get used to VA driving. Now I just realize the entire DMV has the shittiest drivers on the planet. We literally give out licenses like candy here in the US and expect everyone to be capable drivers, it makes no effin sense

A lot of this behavior would change quite literally overnight if police were to pull people over for travelling in the left/passing lane......which is prohibited in many/most states
