Fascinating BMW Design Archive drawings with Design Director Adrian van Hooydonk
From the latest issue of Octane... IMO, designers then didn't need multiple complex lines to create the essence of their car, the 1602-2002 models show that... Of course, there's a drawing of Paul Bracq (where my avatar comes from), the father of the e21 3 Series ;-). Enjoy the read!

Really great article!
Sorry for off topic but I "met" AvH once at a F1 race. It was when they showed the M1 Hommage. BMW had a tent with show cars and a lounge part. We were walking towards it and we had just received some M1 posters. AvH was standing in the lounge part and I asked if he could sign our posters which he happily did. I asked if he could say something about the future, he blinked and nodded at the M1 Hommage and said: "Well, it is just around the corner". Which is also were the car was parked  Really nice guy! |

BMW should follow Apples steps and make a book with all of these. Now that I would pay for.
