Mustang 350r at local dealer - $125k!
So for sh$t's and giggles I called my local Ford dealership about the 350r. They recently sold 2 at around $100k each. Surprisingly, both were sold to guys who were actually going to race them. He's got a third on the way and is going to ask $125k.

Its a badass car. Not worth that money tho. I just ordered a 17 non-R last weekend to replace my M3.

You don't buy the R version as a daily driver. I applaud Ford for building a more extreme version of the GT350. Damn. 305's in the front and 315's on the rear!

Supply and Demand brother. Capitalism. If they have 5000 a year to sell overall they will surely get the most for them they can.

My ADM was low enough that it wasn't a real issue to me. Still way cheaper than an M4 at invoice. |

While I do own and love mustangs I would never pay 50K over msrp for one. For 125K I would rather have a Corvette z06 with the z07 package if we're talking American muscle.

we have an m2 at our dealer that they are asking about 10k over sticker since there is an average of 8 months. (this was a canceled order)
love the r though, I would consider it if anyone ever was crazy enough to give me what I need to sell my toy Last edited by Abax335; 07-01-2016 at 12:40 PM.. |

I love the R, but at $125K I'll spend a little more and get a GT3.

I got my standard GT350 for ~60k "loaded". So I would say it definitely competes bang for the buck against my old 80k M3. If you're a modder not paying the M tax will be a huge difference there too. The uptick on the GT350Rs is crazy to me. Its not really that much different than a standard... |

Hoping the flat plane crank starts to shake these things to pieces after a few thousand miles such that depreciation is swift and fierce, and I can pick one up on the cheap for a track car.

Asking prices and selling prices are often radically different. I have no problem with people/dealerships trying to get all they can get. I know when I sell my cars I also try to get the most I can for them.
Reality is this dealership has almost nothing to lose by throwing out a high asking price and then when lowering it over time.
