I AM LEGEND (2nd Ending)

Hey anyone seen the 2nd ending for this moving? I watched it 2 daays ago.. and also heard that they are planning to make part 2.

I wanted to see it but they took down the video - could someone give a synopsis of what happens? I have already seen the movie so it's not like you would be spoiling anything for me.

I think the theatrical version worked overall for the movie since they didn't focus at all on the transformation of neville's character from the hunted to the hunter, thus turning him into the "legend" among the infected, as in the original book. In the movie, it was just focused on his time alone and trying to find a cure for the disease and save humanity.

In order for the alternate ending to have worked, the movie would've had to provide more hints and scenes that shows him hunting and capturing the infected to study them.

The movie was a big disappointment for me overall, expected a closer following to the book.

I don't understand how the bridge at the end of the second ending is all of a sudden not destroyed. Weren't all of the bridges and tunnels destroyed? And if they were, then it doesn't make sense how the lady got to to the city.

I liked this one a lot more too. It brought more closure to the end of the story, and gave that seeker he had in his lab the whole movie more purpose than just being a prop in the film to accentuate his study.

i dont think the crazies would be able to resist kicking his ass after reversing the effects on the cured girl

They totally would be able to since their alpha had total control over them throughout the movie. I never read the book, but apparently this is WAY more in line with how it was supposed to be. Overall, regardless of the ending, I thought it was a great movie.

I don't like either ending but this 2nd one is better. I read a summary of the book and that was by far more interesting than the Hollywood ending. I don't like reading books so I won't buy the paperback but the heart of the story is completely lost in the movie. It's probably just very difficult to translate into cinema. There are far too many questions if you just watch the movie.

Yea, I totally agree. There were a lot of holes in the story even though it was a good movie, overall..

Like... why did the seekers not eat that chick and the kid when they were waiting at the dock all day after dark when will comes there to let them kill him? Or, how she managed to survive that whole time without covering up her tracks to where she was sleeping as she forgot to do at will's place...

While we are point out flaws, why did the dark seekers just send out the dogs to get Will and the dog? Why didn't they come out after him?

If Will was smart, what he would have done at the end is put the UV lights behind the glass wall.
