Thumbs up 2016 Ford Mustang GT - My review in Germany

I am really still impressed by how good the new Ford Mustang GT is.

I was quite underwhelmed by it. I really like the new styling, and the interior is much improved, but it's still a little too sloppy, and it got slower.

I must agree with you as that is my daily driver. Never thought I'd be a Mustang guy but was really impressed with the the car overall...and a killer bargain at under $40k for 435 HP, brembos, heated/cooled leather, etc...not in the same league as the M's, but also half the price.

It is a little sloppy still, but come on, it's a muscle car! It's supposed to be sloppy.

Ya for the price it's unbeatable imo.

I never was a fan of Ford. However, I will admit the Mustang looks good. I prefer the styling over the 4 series. It looks more like a coupe, than the hatchback look of the 4. If they put the BMW kidney grill, and angel eye xeons, I would trade in my E90. The Mustang styling to me looks like a European vehicle. Good job Ford.

As an American, I just cant get into American muscle / pony cars. I do like the styling, but not a fan of the interior. It does offer a lot for the money and I test drove one. Just isnt for me. Thats me though, lots of people enjoy the car and the HP numbers are very nice.

Right, because your BMW interior is CNCed from a 7 foot block of aluminum and then covered with diamond inlaid goat leather...

Oh wait, I see you have a 328...made out of PLASTIC.

A set of coilovers will take care of the sloppy feeling

Nice review! It does take some time getting used to as its a very big car. A lot of people don't realize this but the car is longer and wider than the previous gen c6 z06. I bought a '15 GT as a daily driver but after taking it to the track once I fell in love with the car, slowly in the process of converting it into a full on track car. The stock suspension really does blow, even if its the performance pack. The factory spring shock setup is so bouncy that it kills the ride quality. I immediately swapped mine out for a set of JRZ rs pro's and it completely transformed the car.

Looks very nice!! And the upgraded suspension will most definitely make the ride better.

If you plan on tracking a car, there really aren't that many stock suspension systems out there that will be good on the track unless it's a factory track focused car.

Stock suspensions are designed for day to day street use and has to satisfy a wide range.

The new Mustang outsold the Porsche 911, Audi TT and Porsche Cayman/Boxster in Germany in March.

Wow that is very interesting indeed! Thanks for sharing that with us!
