Porsche has Singer, Alfa Romeo has Alfaholics, BMW has...????

Is there a go-to company or outfit that redesigns/rebuilds/reimagines older BMWs the way Singer does for Porsche and Alfaholics does for Alfa Romeo?

Maybe like Mercedes, BMW offers these services in a Classic Center.

I saw one of Alfaholics cars in the Evo track car shootout, that thing is gorgeous!

The closest I can think of on the same level as what Singer does is MKO in Germany but even that is the reverse. Hartge has done some, but they weren't heavily publicized. BMW's in general don't lend themselves towards the Retro-mod possibilities the way a Porsche 911 can.

Alpina doesn't do old cars now, but they did when the old cars were new.

If memory serve there's an old wheeler dealer episode on the 6 series where the "goal car" or whatever they call the aspirational one that someone else has already done was a really nice resto mod with a bunch of Alpina gear.

Thanks everyone. So it sounds like the answer may be *no*, there is no Singer-like operation/company for BMW. I thought I remembered a place in California that was known for "re-imagining" old BMWs into half-artwork/half-race cars but perhaps that was just in my dreams (I'm serious, I may have dreamt this). Thank you.

Singer is quite different simply because of what they're using. Their process isn't taking a vintage 911 and upgrading it, rather they take a 964, make it look vintage in and out, and update some of the 964 components under all that beautiful craftsmanship.

My ex's Uncle has a Singer 911, (though Porschephiles cringe that a rare RS America was the donor), a couple of cars from Alfaholics, and a few Resto-Mod BMW's (///M2002 with an S14B25 (out of the next car), E30 M3 EVO3, and E9 3.0CS both with S38B36 under the hood).

The Singer is night and day difference. The quality and reliability are there and it truly feels magical. The Alfa's retain their Alfaness without breaking (as often), and the BMW's have odd personalities.

Thank you. Where did his resto-mod BMWs come from?

Thank you, Dackelone. You nailed it with the first video. Bavarian Workshop was the place I had in mind but could not remember the name.
