Small piece of cardboard fell into the heater vent. What to do?

Today as I was cleaning my car of documents/papers on the dashboard

A small piece of card roughly the size of a calling card fell into the heater vent in front of the dashboard/windshield.
Pls see photo below.

I tried to get it but it totally went in!!

What should i do??
Will it damage the car?

Is it making noise? If not I wouldn't worry about it at all. I removed the AC evaporator from my E30 once, inside of the case I found portions of two business cards, a paper clip, and 2 AAA batteries.

as of now it doesn't seem to make any noise. I'm just concerned that it might get lodged onto something or worse get burned due to heat of engine/wiring etc.. cause i don't know how deep it fell

I think things falling into those vents are so common they're designed with that in mind.

I'm not sure the design of the blower fan and filter in these cars, doubt they're channels are designed that items would drop into the filter housing, but you could access the HVAC filter and see if the card appears.

You should turn the heat on the max temperature setting and see if you can just burn the cardboard away.

If you want to pull the vent just grab it, it pulls right out. Can remove the cardboard then pushes back in place. Pulled mine to run wires for proclip phone mount. Very very easy.

Not a single vent, pull the entire assembly with both vents and center buttons. Just grab the trim up by the screen and give it a good yank. Check the DIY thread I posted a proclip install and linked to vent removal if you need more detailed instructions with photos.

I thought the OP's vent in question was at the base of the windshield not forward facing central dash vent ?

Oh shit, if that's the case disregard my input. Thought we were talking about the center vents, must have missed something somewhere. Sorry for the confusion.

For the vents up by the windshield, I would use a vacuum or shop vac and tape the end so there is only a small opening to maximize suction then run it up by the vent and see what happens. I would then assume I got the piece of cardboard and not give it a second thought.
