e92 N54 vs S54 MCoupe

OK so on the way home from work i am in very heavy traffic. And i see a shining m coupe(Black). Now my car is also usally shining but with no garage and this horrible weather it is very dirty. So we are just behind/infront eachother until the traficc breaks up. Then we do some second gear runs. Out of about 5 runs he couldn't get infont of me on 2 of them. He said he got a bad start on one and the other i guess i just won. Now my car is stock so once i do all my mods v2/helix, dps, fmic, exhaust how far behind do you think he will be? Too the guy with the mcoupe very nice looking car and nice runs hopefully we can do it again someday. Car sounded great=) P.S. he went over the throgs neck bridge headed to queens/Li i got off the last exit before the toll. BMW FTW

lol, he must have been a shit driver cause an M Coupe should WALK a stock 335i.

330 HP and less weight vs. 300 HP and more weight. You do the math.

in 99% of cases, it's all about the driver. it's been shown many times that a shitty driver in a supercar performs worse than a superdriver in a shitty car.

Because 1: just going by peak HP numbers is an accurate way to race on paper and 2: because it's not already well known and accepted that the 335 is faster then the e46 m3 which has the same engine and weighs less then the 335.

Yea the Mcoupe is even lighter, but its no stretch to say it could be taken.

Don't use the peak HP number in a car like the 335, HP peaks very early in this car and holds meaning it has more area under the curve then cars with more peak HP like the Mcoupe which peaks at around 8k

Also don't forget that the n54 is really a 330 peak HP engine and this was confirmed by wheel dynos as well as dinan on an engine dyno.

Been thinking about getting an M-Coupe... I love my E92, but the M-Coupe is just a fantastic looking car.

This is even more true on a Motorcycle. I see lots of crap, inexperienced riders buying liter bikes hoping it will make them faster... Never even considering for a minute that it's their own lack of skills making them slow and useless...

But when you consider that we've got probably 70% of the owners here on the forums that have no idea how to drive, and are mostly in a BMW cause of that little propeller perhaps it's there isn't that many more "Squids" on the bikes than in bimmers...

convinced my gf at the time to buy a m-coupe. you'll lose alot of luxury if you switch over.

Yeah and M Coupes dyno at about 342-346 so what. I hope you are not serious about the powerband being at 8K... that is redline. The true powerband is more 5.5K - redline.
