Hey... It's not that cold here. It's supposed to be in the 40's tommorrow in Buffalo. I would guess you could get weather in the 50's in NYC.

Wouldn't you know by now that it's always warmer in Buffalo compared to east NY because you got a huge lake directly west of the city that acts as a temperature buffer?
That's why sometimes it's 35 in Buffalo while it's 4 below 0 in Boston. |

Heh, well I'll be damned. I got accepted to a graduate program at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute - in Buffalo. I'm actually flying out there in a couple weeks.
They whine about the snow but I love snow (and snowboarding). They whine about it being cold but I don't think it is seriously that bad...compared to NYC, Detroit, or Boston - all places without a big water buffer on the west. But I guess I will be the antithesis of you, if I go to Buffalo! Don't you ever miss the four seasons? |

And when they show snow in "Buffalo" it's usually not actually in Buffalo, it's in the southern teir of the city (which is actually "ski country") In the area right around Buffalo there is not nearly as much snow as the rest of the country thinks. We like to play along with all the hype... It's fun.

Hey All
I made it back safely! I had a long ass flight on the way home. I got delayed 30min in Newark, then another 45 in Charolette, then we had to fly up towards indiana cause of the jet stream and then down to san diego. So i got in late. And its 11:30pm so its really 2:30am for me. And im def feeling the sleepiness. So, now u know im a e90post fanatic, im online when i should be sleeping lol. The weather was alright. Thursday was really nice..like 50! But saturday it rained all day.. ugh. It was a fun time, and i already wanna go back Btw- i was in very good hands.

I learned my lesson about standing on corners in the city when its raining. I got DRENCHED by a car flying by. Ill admit, it was funny as hell.. and yea my jeans stuck like ass when i got back to the hotel. I went to see a few campuses. 3 in NJ. Kean (didnt like), William Paterson (was alright), and Monmouth (loved it!). I hope i get accepted in that school. The night i arrived in my hotel, i was unpacking and ready to hop the shower. The freaking fire alarm went off. I thought it was my room, so i kept thinking wtf... lol. Then i noticed ppl outside in the hallway, so i had to get dressed again, and we went downstairs and had to wait till the fire dept came to shut it off (it was a false alarm). I was ready to bail out and stay at the hotel next door lol. But overall, it was a legit place. Right when i got into newark airport, i couldnt stop laughing. I saw about 10 "gotti" looking guys. It was hilarious cause i kept thinking of the post regarding the subhuman creatures aka jersey guido's. Scott helped me out with the schools. Its good havin a friend who knows the area. Without him i would have been so lost. So thanks buddy!
