I saw a Focus RS on the Road!

I was driving home from work and I noticed a very aggressive front end of a focus with a nice intercooler in front of me at the light - at first i thought it was a ST model but after seeing the 'RS' badge and "manufacturer" plate realized i was wrong.

I live in the same city they are being built ( dearborn, MI ) - I was very impressed by the looks of it but I just can't justify the $40k price tag

Maybe in a few years i will be able to get one for $25 - $30k

don't get me wrong - I love my FBO e93 but i have a soft spot for smaller cars specially coming from an 05 srt4 and RX8

thought about it !! unfortunately mods for the "ST" are a lo5 more to get it to at least the 350hp

Subaru STi, not ST....

simple mods and you're easily north of 350 bhp with a WRX STi...

If I had $40k laying around and wanted to get a car or cars, I would drop $20K and get back into another E39 M5 with fresh MAFS, rod bearings done, VANOS units/solenoids good with low mileage. Then drop another $15K for a E34 M5 and the other $5K will go into a decent e30.

With $40k to blow, I'd get a lower mileage 2011/2012 135i and put a PURE Stage 2 turbo set up.

$40k to blow you could get buy a EG civic hatchback and swap a K20, boost it, and be in the 9's with some sticky tires.

Then have about $30k left over to wager on races and make the $10k back, and it's like you never spent any money to begin with.
